Kinessage® - Massage Through Movement continued...
Ten years of practice and continual study has led to the development of Kinessage. My passion for understanding how the body works has led to using it's extraordinary design for movement to bring about it's restoration. Kinessage® combines specific use of movement, anatomy application, myofascial release, and stretching to produce effective results.
Our bodies "wear" the results of how we habitually move (or don't move). Whatever we overuse or don't use becomes patterned in our bodies. The amount of tension we regularly hold in our necks, shoulders, backs or legs, for example, is "normal" to our brain and nervous system, even if that amount of tension is extreme. Depending on the patterns we've established in our bodies, overuse or lack of use can result in extra waste products (toxins) being thrown off into the tissue. This makes fascia (connective tissue) more like fly paper, sticking layers together and exerting additional pressure (can be up to 2,000 lbs. per sq.inch!) against nerves and capillaries. Kinessage® addresses this myofacial component. Return

Lymphatic Drainage Massage continued...
The lymphatic system is a network of fluid filled vessels distributed within the body cavity and just under the surface of the skin. The lymph's job is to collect toxins, bacteria, metabolic byproducts and other cellular debris from body tissue and direct it to sites for elimination. Lymph nodes (small round structures) tonsils, the spleen and thymus all participate in the cleaning and filtering process.
When the immune system is overburdened through disease or exposure to high levels of toxins, the lymph system's ability to filter and clear may be compromised. The gentle, rhythmic movement of Lymphatic drainage massage assists the flow of lymph and detoxification allowing for greater healing. Return
